About FamilyLine LGB: Our vision, Our mission, Projects, Events and Etc
Our Vision
Equipping young people and nurturing talents.
Our Mission
Inspiring young people to nurture their potentials and helping
them to grow their God-given potentials irrespective of their physical
abilities or gender. This is accomplished by;
- Building
personal relationships with young people and empowering them on their right
to be heard.
- Helping
young people develop their skills, assets and attitudes to reach their full
God-given potential irrespective of their gender.
- Nurturing
young people to grow in their love for Christ and the knowledge of God and
becoming people who can share their faith and life with others.
- Working
with a team of like-minded male and female professionals- volunteer
leaders (coaches), committee members, donors and staff to impact lives of
others.
- Impacting
young marriages and families, and engaging them in experiences that are
fun, adventurous and life-changing through institutional engagements.
Membership
FamilyLine starts with persons who are
concerned enough about young people (including Kids) to go to them, on their
turf and in their culture, to build bridges of authentic friendship. Membership is open to professionals who are interested in
helping the group to achieve its vision and mission.
Projects
·
Education
Familyline involves clients in strategic activities to
ensure the holistic development of the young people beyond the classroom
engagements in line with the SDG 4 and 5 (quality education and gender equality).
This is done through workshops for the purpose of impacting fresh knowledge, fieldtrips
for the purpose of expanding their horizon and bring them near to realia to
enhance their understanding.
·
Health
FamilyLine works together with
relevant organizations to promote the health and well-being of young people through
relevant health outreaches. This is done with volunteers from accredited health
institutions with whom we are ready to partner to achieve cooperation in line
with SDG 3 and 6.
·
Exchanges
We are engaged in national and international exchanges aimed
at offering young people the opportunity to explore new environments and become
open minded individuals. In these exchanges, a life-long opportunity is offered
for participants to teach and to learn with persons from different nationality
in line with SDG 17.
·
Internships
FamilyLine offers an avenue to partner with learning
institutions all over the world. An opportunity for learners to have practical
internships away from their home countries or towns. We provide professional
guide to participants of such programmes through our well-trained team of
honest people.
·
Charity
FamilyLine raises funds and
receives donations to support our volunteer activities. The donations are used
to create an environment for the development of the young people we engage.
These donations may be in the form of direct cash, health materials and payment
of health bills, educational materials and payment of fees for young people.
These donations are done to support the development of the young people we
engage to reduce inequalities among young people, which is in line with SDG 10.
·
Environmental
Development Advocacy
FamilyLine carries out and
promote environmental improvements and practical conservation activities to
educate, encourage and support the local population in health and environmental
practice by working with statutory and non-statutory agencies. We are committed
to the environmental health and we teach clients to be involved in this, in
line with SDG 12 and 13.
- Events
Organise conferences (New Life
Conference), training courses (Professional) and events (Street Praise, Worship
Experience, Environmental Advocacy, FamilyLine Nature Visits and Excursions,
FamilyLine Global Tours, Talent marketing symposiums, etc.).
